As the old saying goes, Rinse and Repeat...
As our anniversary approached so did more disappointing news, thats right March would represent 12 months since we started our journey. 12 months since we agreed we would do this for real and in 12 months we still would not be trading.
We still were yet to see our brewery function, yet to obtain our Excise License and yet to receive our Producers License. All in all a pretty shit time all round.
Then out of the blue we get an email from OLGR they have looked at our Producers License application (it was only submitted in December...). Basically saying can you do XYZ. Sweet!
Then, there it was - "have you displayed this piece of paper?" No... DENIED!
Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not get your $500 application fee back. You're done, start again. New forms, new fee, try again.
After a lot of phone calls we got a commitment to assess our Producers License application more promptly and we resubmitted...
Read the fine print!!
So back in October last year we told you about the plans we were laying out to move and expand our business into the Old Butter Factory building in Tumut. After trials and tribulations this move unfortunately fell through, and although we were disheartened at this set back we know that these things happen and we wouldn’t have gotten to where we are now without falling down and picking ourselves back up.
