A one day event held at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel in the small town of Thredbo in the heart of the Snowy Mountains, the Kosciuszko Craft Beer Festival will be our first festival of 2017 and it is one that we are rather excited about. Why? Well this one is a little more of a festival for the beer brewer than the beer drinker. Don’t get us wrong those who enjoy beer will definitely enjoy it too! As it will provide and excellent view into the beer brewing world for anyone who may be interested.
It’s not too far from Tumut -only around 3 hours- and being nestled in the mountains it will be the perfect occasion for people to combine a love of beer and the outdoors. It’s free family event for people of all ages taking place from 12pm to 5pm, with: a BBQ, live music, beer brewing demonstrations and free beer tastings (yes free beer!) from some of Australia’s exciting up and coming craft brewers. There’s also a home brew competition for all those avid home brewers out there who want to join in the fun!
In the evening there is a Beer, Ales and Tales Degustation Dinner, this is $65 per head and features six beers from the festival paired perfectly with five tasty dishes crafted by the Executive Chef of the Thredbo Alpine Hotel. Now we can’t tell you if one of our beers will feature in the dinner -because we honestly just don’t know yet- but it will definitely be a memorable evening worth attending.
So if you’re from the area and want to taste our excellent beer -and other excellent beers too- or are reading this from afar and want to combine your love of tasting beer with your desire to be outdoors then check out the website for the festival here!
We hope to see you there!
