Nisse Thorbjørn gained his alias "Copenhagen Slim" while in Chicago at the start of his professional career in 2003, hanging out and sitting in with acts and at jamsessions at Chicago (US) venues, where he appeared as a guest with Billy Branch, John Primer, Lurrie Bell among others.

In 2009 Nisse Thorbjørns solo record "CPH Slim" was published, this earned him critical acclaim with a 4 hearts rating in the national culture newspaper Politiken, he also recieved the "Danish Blues Musician of the year award" that year.

On the road:
Having toured in Europe as a harmonica player with Chicago greats like Lurrie Bell and John Primer and performing as a solo artist and with Copenhagen Slim Band has earned him a reputation as a bluesman with a big feeling and dedication to his music.

Recently:

2019 saw Copenhagen Slims first Australian tour, playing 19 concerts in 23 days including Echuca Bluesfest.

2018 was filled with touring with his band and as a solo artist in Europe with recent performances in Germany, Switzerland (Baden Bluesfest), Sweden and Denmark and upcoming tours in Norway, DE, SE, CH and DK. We loved having Nisse at the brewery in July 2019 and looking forward to having him back for a hot and sweaty Jan session!
