A few months ago we made the big decision to reduce the number of staples we'd produce on a year round basis. With 24 taps to fill and until the end of last year, 20 of them occupied with beers brewed right here at TRBC, we just weren't keeping up ! More importantly, we didn't have enough time to focus on improving the quality of our product. Reducing the range to six staples has meant that we are able to leave the beer in the tanks that little bit longer. In our opinion, improving its flavour and definitely improving its clarity as well as consistency. It also means that we now get much more excited about the beers we bring out on a seasonal basis; like the 8% ABV Red India Pale !
Ironically, we first brewed this beer as a seasonal at the end of 2016. It was essentially a cross between our Redneck Irish Ale and Squealing Pig APA (for anyone who has seen the movie Deliverance, the reason for the name and the logo should now make much more sense!). Brad has put a fresh batch of this bad boy down today and it should be ready to keg/bottle in about three weeks time ! Tumut River Brew Crew members are invited for a free tasting at 5pm on Saturday the 25th of May - hope to see you then!
