We got a new fermenter, so maybe we're the most excited about this, but for you at home what it means to you is simple. We can make more beer! See, now you're excited as well. It's always been our intention to grow and that's what we've been doing, day by day, one little piece at a time.
Small Business Award Nomination. Simon and I were ecstatic when we heard we had been nominated for a number of awards in this years Tumut Region Small Business Awards. We have been selected as finalists in two categories. "outstanding manufacturing or trade" and "innovation in business".
The new mobile bar. As we continue down the event and festival road we have found our existing bar more and more inconvenient. So the task to build a better bar was undertaken. As with most great projects we had an image in our head, a great design if you will.
Quite a while ago we went out to Elm Cottage and caught up with the team from Alive and Cooking. We had a great time sampling food and beer :-). They were kind enough to make a few meals up with our Blowering Blonde and Redneck Ale.
When are you open? It's a question we get constantly (which is great because people are obviously interested in our product). We've been intentionally coy in relation to trading hours because once we published any we would have to be here and it already feels like we live here. Being committed to more time onsite was a bit daunting.
It was the best of times. It was the worst of times... Christmas... I'm sure there are plenty of you out there who can relate to that statement. Our christmas was no different. We had a great load of family commitments along with a commitment of our own to be trading over that period in the brewery.
We have christmas hours, to have christmas hours you would have to be open and that's pretty exciting for us We'll be at the brewery from 12 - 8 from the 26th - the 30th of December. We know its not much but we're pretty excited.
October long weekend means a lot of things to a lot of people... mostly 3 days off. We knew when we signed on for this brewery deal that there would be sacrifices but the October long weekend was not what we had in mind.
We know its been a long time coming and we know that its not the same as a 6 pack but we can finally sell you a take away beer product! Our 2L growlers can be purchased directly from our brewery allowing you the opportunity to consume our beer at home.
We've been working away on a recipe for an Oktoberfest beer and our first attempt at a Dunkel has been a great success! Pretty excited about cracking it out to the masses for Oktoberfest.
Got our digital copy of The Snow Post - Winter Edition today, from the guys at http://www.monaropost.com.au/ Thanks guys!
We recently attended our first CBIA (Craft Beer Industry Association) meeting. It was a long day and a big drive but it was totally worth it! It's nice to see that the CBIA is proactively involved in the industry and that some key breweries are behind it and really giving it some momentum. We met some great people.
