We know its been a long time coming and we know that its not the same as a 6 pack but we can finally sell you a take away beer product! Our 2L growlers can be purchased directly from our brewery allowing you the opportunity to consume our beer at home.
We've been working away on a recipe for an Oktoberfest beer and our first attempt at a Dunkel has been a great success! Pretty excited about cracking it out to the masses for Oktoberfest.
From Tumut to Sydney to Jindabyne and the Banjo Patterson Inn! Our entire trip to Sydney (See this article) was awesome! We drank awesome beer, we meet awesome people and we learnt some awesome things! One of the best things was an invitation from Chuck and Michael to brew with them on Saturday at the Banjo Patterson Inn.
Got our digital copy of The Snow Post - Winter Edition today, from the guys at http://www.monaropost.com.au/ Thanks guys!
We recently attended our first CBIA (Craft Beer Industry Association) meeting. It was a long day and a big drive but it was totally worth it! It's nice to see that the CBIA is proactively involved in the industry and that some key breweries are behind it and really giving it some momentum. We met some great people.
Our Blonde has been Named! Congrates Adam Johnson and thankyou for your contribution! Adam has won 100 schooners of our beer redeemable by voucher at the Royal Hotel Tumut. Adam thank-you! You are now "The Guy" that named that fantastic beer! Its funny because we originally code named it Blowering Blonde so it has come full circle.
Big news! (at least it is for us) Tumut River Brewing Co has beer in Sydney! One of the finest establishments in Sydney has just taken a small delivery of our Redneck Ale and it will be going on tap in the next week or so. Thankyou Forest Lodge Hotel!
It's time.... time to name our blonde. Naming the blonde has become massive, we had oodles of entries. Some very creative! What we have noticed is that quite a few of our friends had entered and some of our favorites are from them.
It seemed like a very very... very , long time coming but our launch night finally came and went. I believe this week has been our hangover because while we can't drink and serve we feel like we have been on a massive bender.
While we're waiting for our HERMS to be rebuilt we have had to employ other methods of controlling the temperature of our mash. Many will say our mash tun should have been insulated from the start and they are right. I mean aside from making temperature control simpler it also saves energy which in return saves money. Truth be told.
Its time for a party! TRBC is finally having its launch night! We need to celebrate and the best way to celebrate is with great Beer and great mates. You're all invited to the Royal Hotel Tumut On Saturday 12th July 2014. We will be onsite from 4PM going till late.
