Finally Licensed! We're done! We're here! its over! WOOT! Now what?... We are extremely pleased (and a little late) to announce that we are done! Tumut River Brewing Co is live and trading. We are a brewery a real (all be it tiny) brewery. So now its time to make and sell some beer. Thank-you to everyone who has supported.
As our launch is rapidly approaching it seems crucial we get this form out quick smart! Please name our Beer ! To any and all of you who have tried our amazing blonde, please submit your suggestions. We believe a beer like this needs an equally awesome name, so throw a few at us.
Filtering... there has always been great debate among brewers the world over. Should you filter your beer? This question quite reasonably extends to other brewing fields across the globe but is of course most relevant to beer in this case. If you're one of us you will no doubt have an opinion on just what is the correct and acceptable process, if you're not you are probably asking.
I think its safe to say that "Free Beer Day" was a tremendous success! Thanks to all who attended, we had a ball! I'm thinking that maybe this could become a yearly event? Let us know what you think. We had some obvious beer fans, great food and of course great beer
No one ever said it would be smooth sailing. We’ve been having trouble regulating our mash temperature and we’ve found that the HERMS (Heat Exchange Recirculating Mash System) provided with our system is just not up to the work load we’ve given it.
Free Beer... You read it right. "Whats the catch?" I hear you ask. Well it's pretty simple really, we have a number of great reasons to give away beer. Firstly, we had such a fantastic response to our social media presence that we wanted to reward our fans.
I couldn't resist when my sister sent this through to me, I had to post it I 'm sure it comes from somewhere on the internet of which I should give credit but I cant remember where. Basically we live in a judgmental society and you will be judged. You'll be judged on everything... even your beer style.
Patience has never been a quality of ours and since we're brewing beer in our micro brewery and only waiting on one more certificate to actually trade we figure its close enough. Close enough for what? you ask. Close enough to crack open our saved beer, a beer from our past, a beer we have saved for 5 years.
Exciting times in the TRBC camp today (and hopefully at Country Brewer as well). Today we have been formally announced as the Tumut regions Country Brewer Distributors. From today you will be able to order and purchase the entire range of Country Brewer products from us.
Excise, Beer tax... I can't say that I had any positive feelings about this process and up until lodgement it had been long and painful. I could only assume that the process would continue in the same fashion.
As the old saying goes, Rinse and Repeat... As our anniversary approached so did more disappointing news, thats right March would represent 12 months since we started our journey. 12 months since we agreed we would do this for real and in 12 months we still would not be trading.
After months of waiting the time has come for our Brewery to arrive. Paula and I borrowed a Ute and a trailer and headed to Melbourne to collect the pieces we could carry. A 1200Km round trip is always good for the soul. We had a good run down and managed to load most of the equipment onto our trusty.
