ALWAYS FLOWING

At Tumut River Brewing Co., we’ve got one simple mission:

to craft beer we’re proud to call our own and to share the magic of Tumut with the world.

Sitting on the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, Tumut’s a little Riverina gem shaped by the crystal-clear waters of the Tumut River—a top spot for fishing, hiking, and adventure.

Built on hard yakka, good yarns, and a cheeky charm, Tumut is a place where every season inspires something new.

We’re inspired by Tumut’s spirit and the adventurous souls drawn to its beauty. That same spirit flows through every beer we brew: high quality, full of character, and as crisp and refreshing as the Tumut River itself.

Tumut River Brewing Co. began in 2014 as a microbrewery and grew into a popular brewpub, loved by locals, adventurers, and beer lovers alike.

Like many small businesses, we hit some tough times and sadly had to turn off the taps in September 2024.

But our story didn’t end there.

Former staff legends Michael Cichoki and Mary Richmond stepped in, bought the business back from the liquidators, and proudly got the good times flowing again.

For us, it’s all about getting back to our roots.

Supporting local people and producers like Voyager in the Riverina, whose top-notch grains bring our brews to life, and keeping Tumut’s creative spark burning.

Hosting live music, backing independent musos, artists, and entertainers, making this the spot for locals and visitors to swap stories, share laughs, and, of course, enjoy great beer.

Whether you’re chasing trout, hitting the trails, or paddling a pumpkin down the river*, we promise to keep the beer—and the good times—always flowing.

* In April 2024, Adam Farquharson aka Popeye the Pumpkin Man paddled the Royal Easter Show-awarded 407kg pumpkin one mile down the Tumut River.

Cheers to Tumut,

where every sip tells a story worth sharing.
