Nashville’s cosmic Americana torchbearers Cordovas are heading to Australia for the very first time this spring, bringing their electrifying live show to stages across the country.

Led by the enigmatic Joe Firstman, Cordovas have built a devoted following across the U.S. and Europe for their mix of heartfelt songwriting, vintage Southern rock swagger, and deeply philosophical storytellinCol Ray Price (solo) 6:30 - 7:15pm Magpie Diaries Solo 7.30pm - 8:00pm Cordovas 8.30pm - 10pm ?g. With a lineup anchored by Argentine guitar virtuoso Lucca Soria, the band has become known for its transportive performances — equal parts jam session, sermon, and rock 'n' roll revival.

Now, Australian fans will finally get to experience the band Rolling Stone has called a timeless American sound with a modern spiritual core.”

Magpie Diaries tell a story via some kind of smooth, soul country, inspired by analogue folk rock sounds of the 60s and 70s.Magpie Diaries was born in 2008 as a small songwriting project created by Magpie to help with the grieving loss of a close friend. This solo songwriting project soon became a band which eventually went on to release an EP in 2015 followed by an album in 2018.

Magpie Diaries is very much a dedicated vocation and a release mechanism for a captive, powerful heart.

Col Ray Price plays a hard driving infectious rhythm and sings in the style of the old time blues shouters and hollers of the American south lands that gave birth to the likes of Big Joe Turner, Bukka White and Son House and latter to the likes of R.L. Burnside and Robert Belfour. From “House Rock’n Blues” to “Mississippi Hill Country Blues” its pure roots music in what is now labeled as the “Fat Possum” (Mississippi) sound.
